Shoppers are being warned that supermarket slots are running low at some stores this Christmas.
Tesco, Asda and M&S have already warned about limited slots for Christmas supermarket deliveries, the Manchester Evening News reports.
Tesco is experiencing high demand, while Asda has warned shoppers: 'Once slots are gone, they’re gone.'
Sainsbury's' is urging people not to leave it too late - and M&S says its slots are already running out.
It is clear, then, that shoppers would be foolish to leave it too late as the Christmas dash for groceries and gifts intensifies.
Naomi Schraer of MoneySavingExpert said: 'With ongoing coronavirus restrictions, it's likely supermarket delivery slots will be in even greater demand this year with some households keen to avoid the shops, so it's best to get in while you can.'
But be aware - even if you have a recurring slot, you won't be able to use it between December 19 and January 3. Therefore you'll need to book a new slot over that period before your regular slot. Just 5% of mechanics are qualified to work on EVs, says motor industry. While Asda has warned shoppers: 'Once slots are gone, they’re gone.' Even if you have a recurring slot, you won't. The slot offered was not the weekly one I'd expected, but a week later (although I've not skipped a slot). Oddly my usual slot was available, I just had to book it manually. Having spoken to Asda I'm told that recurring slots are not guaranteed, though quite why it was not offered when it was clearly available is a mystery. Asda absolutely disgusting should be Asda absolutely disgusting should be ashamed Waited a week for delivery that’s fine slot between 7 and 9 to get a message at half 8 saying delivery on way great half 9 comes and goes half 10 comes and goes waited up till half 11 for delivery nothing, keep in mind no food in house this is the family shop have a 6 year old son all day try to get hold to. Simply place your order online, choose a two-hour collection slot, and pull into the special Click & Collect bay outside your local ASDA to collect your shopping. Can I edit my order? We placed our order online the night before collection. I was especially impressed to find that you can check out right up until midnight the night before.
The Be Clever With Your Cash website also warns that even if you do get a slot, some must-need items might run out because of the Christmas rush.
So for those who want to plan things now, the MEN has taken a look at the available information.
